Cong leaders celebrate Sonia Gandhi’s birthday

Congress leaders in Vijayawada celebrated the birthday of former AICC President and MP Sonia Gandhi at the Congress office on Monday.
Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) vice-president Kolanukonda Sivaji, City Congress president Naraharasetti Narasimha Rao, and other senior leaders participated in the celebrations, which included cutting a
cake and addressing party workers.
Speaking to the media, Kolanukonda Sivaji strongly condemned the BJP’s allegations linking Sonia Gandhi with billionaire George Soros, who is alleged to have connections with an organisation advocating for Kashmir as a “separate entity.”
He criticised BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra for making baseless accusations against Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi. “The Gandhi family has given three Prime Ministers to this country. Linking Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi with George Soros is absurd and condemnable. The BJP is resorting to dirty politics,” Shivaji stated.
He demanded an unconditional apology from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and other senior BJP leaders for what he described as defamatory statements.
Meanwhile, APCC president YS Sharmila extended her wishes to Sonia Gandhi on social media platform X. She praised Sonia Gandhi’s resilience and leadership, saying, “If there were to be one person that epitomises an incredible spirit of empathy and sacrifice, carries an indelible mark of strength, and inspires an exemplary saga of leadership, it is undoubtedly you. On this momentous day, I pray to the Almighty that you be blessed with good health, long life, and unending energy.”
