Cong not implementing six guarantees: Kadiyam Srihari

Must read

Former Minister and BRS MLA Kadiyam Srihari alleged that the Congress government ministers were passing time saying that corruption took place in the Kaleshwaram project instead of implementing the 6-guarantees.
Srihari said that Irrigation Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy and other Ministers’ team has said that they will conduct a judicial inquiry if the facts about the Kaleshwaram project are to come to light. He said that they saw in the news that Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy’s team had showered questions on officials in Medigadda. He said that the BRS leaders have already asked for a judicial inquiry into the Kaleshwaram project.
While speaking to the media on Friday at Telangana Bhavan along with MLAs Kaleru Venkatesh and Muta Gopal, Srihari alleged that the Congress government has been creating hungama in the name of white papers and project visits by giving impossible assurances. He alleged that the Congress has been trying to mislead the people by not implementing the assurances given to the people.
Srihari said that Congress national leader Rahul Gandhi alleged that Rs 1 lakh crore corruption took place in the Kaleshwaram project. However, the officials revealed that Rs 93,000 crore was spent on the project. Then how Rs 1 lakh crore corruption takes place? he asked. As per the officials power-point presentation on Kaleshwaram project, the BRS government provided irrigation water to 1 lakh acres and it proved that the Congress campaign that the BRS government did not give water to single acre through Kaleshwaram project was false. He alleged that Uttam spoke lies saying that land would be irrigated through gravity in Thummidihatti project (Pranahita- Chevella project). Why the then Congress government failed to enter into an agreement with Maharashtra though there was a Congress government at the Centre from 2008-2014? He asked. Congress spent Rs.6,116 crore in the name of mobilisation advances, surveys, land acquisition etc, he alleged.
Srihari made it clear that the BRS government had taken up the Kaleshwaram project while knowing that the Thummidihatti project was not possible. He said that the sagging of Medigadda pillars is unfortunate and demanded the Congress government to initiate action against the responsible after the inquiry. He said that it is not proper for Ministers to speak as they wished without ordering an inquiry committee.
