Cong planning to hold CWC meeting in Hyd from Sept 16

The Congress is trying to hold the Congress Working Committee (CWC)’s first meeting under AICC President Mallikarjuna Kharge in Hyderabad from September 16 for three days, it is learnt.

The Telangana Congress is planning to hold CWC meetings in view of the Assembly elections. The CWC meeting will definitely boost the morale of party cadres and leaders as they are already in high spirits after the Karnataka victory.

However, the dates have not been confirmed as there is a chance that the dates may get changed if the Centre plans a special Parliament session from September 18.

Top Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjuna Kharge and CWC members will come to Hyderabad and will stay for three days in Hyderabad.

It is learnt that the party is also planning to organise a huge public meeting on the last day of the CWC meeting, that is, on September 18 if everything goes as per plans.

According to sources, the Congress would make Sonia Gandhi release the party’s Telangana election manifesto on September 17 or 18 depending.
