Cong shielding BRS: BJP

Must read

The Congress government is trying to shield the BRS and so it is not seeking a CBI inquiry into the corruption that took place while executing the Kaleshwaram project, Telangana BJP President G. Kishan Reddy said.
He threw a direct challenge at Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Tuesday and asked him to demand a CBI inquiry into the corruption that took place in the Kaleshwaram project if the BRS and the Congress do not have an understanding with each other.
He made it clear that the CBI will launch a probe within 48 hours if the Telangana government writes a letter to the Centre seeking a CBI inquiry.
He said that the Congress government is trying to help out former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and his BRS party.

Kishan said that the Congress and the BRS have entered into an understanding as the Congress government is weak.
Pointing out that the Congress government has no understanding of the Kaleshwaram project, Kishan demanded that the CM should reveal the reason for not writing a letter to the Centre demanding a CBI probe.
“Does the Congress government want the guilty in the Kaleshwaram project corruption to be punished or not? The Congress might be sympathising with those behind the corruption that took place during the BRS government. The behaviour of the Congress and the BRS indicates that the DNA of the Congress and the BRS is one. The Kaleshwaram project has become useless in just three or four years. It reflects the massive corruption and scams of the KCR government. Doubts are increasing that a secret pact exists between the present and past Chief Ministers arrived at through the good offices of the AIMIM,” Kishan said.
Meanwhile, alleging that the BJP is trying to bag votes by asking the Telangana Congress government to order a ‘CBI inquiry,’ the Congress said that people won’t believe the BJP’s demand.
It is now clear that the Congress and the BJP are making the ‘CBI’ inquiry into the BRS government’s alleged corruption an issue in the Lok Sabha elections. Both parties are now sparring over the issue although there is much time for the release of the schedule for the Lok Sabha elections.
