Congress is synonymous with social justice: Mahesh

Must read

The Congress party is a synonymous with social justice, TPCC Chief Mahesh Kumar Goud said. The Congress selected SC, ST and BC women as MLCs giving a big push to social justice, he said.
Addressing the media along with newly elected Congress MLCs Addanki Dayakar, Vijayashanti and Shankar Nayak at the Gandhi Bhavan on Thursday, Mahesh said that in 2014, the BRS government arbitrarily cancelled the Assembly membership of Congress MLAs Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Sampath Kumar.
During the last Assembly, the Congress gave a chance to the current Deputy CM, Bhatti Vikramarka, as the CLP leader, but he could not get the opposition leader status, he said.
Mahesh said the KCR government removed Rajaiah, who was the Deputy Chief Minister during BRS rule.
“Jagadish’s behaviour towards the Dalit Speaker in the Assembly was wrong. People should check out the way BRS leaders are treating Dalits. While Congress is working for social justice, BRS leaders are belittling weaker sections,” he said.
KTR talking about democracy and political values is ridiculous, he said and added that the KCR family looted record amounts of public funds in the shortest possible time.
“If the Congress gives a high post in the assembly to a Dalit and makes him the Speaker, it is shameful that BRS leaders acted in a way that humiliates the Speaker. Looking down on Dalits has become a habit for BRS leaders like KCR. KCR deceived them by saying he would make a Dalit the Chief Minister. BRS leaders are following in his footsteps,” Mahesh said.
He said that as per Rahul Gandhi’s idea, there should be political justice for the poor and weaker sections.
“We completed the caste census in TG and have become an inspiration for the country. Rahul Gandhi coined the slogan, “Whoever has more, gets more,” he said.
Even though the Congress decided to provide 42 per cent reservation to BCs in politics and employment based on caste census figures, there was no response from the opposition, he said. KTR and Harish have no right to talk about the caste survey.
