The operations were led by Assistant Commissioner of Police (East Sub-Division) K. A total of 110 police personnel were deployed, divided into 62 teams to check vehicle documents and verify the identities of suspicious individuals. In a parallel operation in Gajuwaka, 50 police personnel in 25 teams conducted similar searches in various neighbourhoods. While no suspects were found, several vehicles were identified as lacking proper documentation.
“The objective of these operations is to maintain law and order and ensure public safety,” said the ACP.
