Court success revives Priyadarshi’s box office prospects

Must read

Ram Jagadeesh made his directorial debut with Court: State vs A Nobody, which was released on March 14 and became a huge success. Despite being a small-budget court drama, the film has garnered widespread appreciation, with Priyadarshi playing one of the key roles. The film also marked a comeback for actor Sivaji, whose portrayal of Mangapathi received immense praise.
For Priyadarshi, this success comes as a relief, especially after his previous film Darling, in which he played the lead role, failed at the box office. Starring Nabha Natesh as the female lead, Darling was removed from theaters within three days of its release. However, the triumph of Court has now given Priyadarshi newfound confidence, as he was one of the film’s pivotal actors.
The success of Court has also turned the spotlight on his upcoming film Sarangapani Jathakam, where he plays the lead role. Directed by Indraganti Mohana Krishna and co-starring Roopa Koduvayur, the film is set to release on April 18. The producers are now optimistic about the film’s box-office prospects, leveraging Priyadarshi’s renewed momentum from Court. They are also hopeful about securing lucrative OTT and digital deals, banking on his current wave of success.
