CP likely to be transferred

NTR District Commissioner of Police Kanti Rana Tata is under the lens, with the police nabbing one of the culprits in the stone pelting incident in which Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was recently hurt during his bus yatra in Vijayawada. The police produced the accused before court. Now, the needle of suspicion is pointed towards TDP MLA candidate from Vijayawada central Bonda Uma Maheswara Rao. The Opposition has characterized the incident as ‘security breach’ and slammed the police for trying to ‘frame’ Uma Maheswara Rao. A little bird told us that the Election Commission may transfer Rana, following opposition’s allegation that the CP had been acting in favour of the ruling party.
