Must read

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president and Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has rejected the proposal of the Communist parties to allot Bhongir Lok Sabha seat to the Communist Party-Marxist (CPI-M).
The CPI-M put forward the request on Sunday at a meeting with Revanth Reddy who sought the Left parties’ support the Congress in defeating the BJP at the national level. The leaders of the Communist parties, which are part of INDIA bloc, however, demanded that the Congress party support CPI-M candidate Mohammed Jahangir in Bhongir Lok Sabha constituency.
With Revanth rejecting the proposal, the Communist parties made it clear that they would not go back on Bhongir seat.
CPI state secretariat, in a meeting held here on Sunday with T Jyoti in chair, took a crucial decision to make a fervent appeal to the people to support Left parties’ candidate in Bhongir Jahangir, according to secretary Tammineni Veerabhadram.
The meeting also reviewed the political campaign underway in the country to defeat the BJP and other communal forces.
They decided to step up the efforts to expose the misdeeds of the BJP and the injustice done to it to the state and also to the nation. To support the efforts and to give wide publicity to the Left party’s independent political policy, the meeting appealed to people to support Congress parties in LS elections except in Bhongir Lok Sabha seat.
