Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) Commissioner K. Kannababu conducted a thorough inspection of various ongoing development works in Amaravati on Tuesday. He began with visits to the completed structures, including the AIS officers’ quarters and residential complexes constructed for MLAs and MLCs.
Engineering officials from APCRDA briefed the Commissioner on the status of the interior works. He personally examined the amenities and interior arrangements in the completed housing units and offered several suggestions for improvement. Commissioner Kannababu directed the contracting agencies to speed up the completion of all pending interior works.
Subsequently, he inspected the construction of the Principal Secretaries’ bungalows and the HOD towers. He issued clear instructions to the contractor representatives concerning the pace and quality of the construction. The Commissioner also visited the HappyNest housing project and reviewed road development works near corridors E6, E12 and N14. He assessed the progress and held on-site discussions with contractor teams.
In addition, he evaluated the facilities being provided for workers at the construction sites, including accommodation and amenities for their children. He emphasised the need to improve these facilities and shared specific recommendations with APCRDA officials and contractors.
