Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president and former MLC Gidugu Rudra Raju has said that a crucial and high-level delegation meeting will be held in New Delhi on December 21. The meeting will be attended by All India Congress Committee (AICC) chief Mallikharjuna Kharge and the party’s top leaders Rahul Gandhi, KC Venugopal and others. The meeting is likely to finalise the election manifesto for the State, he added.
Meanwhile, the Congress leaders paid tributes to Sanjay Gandhi on the occasion of his birth anniversary. Rudra Radu spoke to the media about the APCC Political Affairs Committee, Coordination Committee, and DCC meetings, at the Andhra Ratna Bhavan in Vijayawada on Thursday. Rudra Raju released the QR codes of the official Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter pages of the AP Congress.
“The Congress party’s PAC and Coordination Committee meetings were held during two days, where many issues came for discussion. In view of the coming general elections, the party leadership wants to strengthen the party in Andhra Pradesh. AICC secretaries CD Meyyappan, Christopher Tilak, CWC members Dr N Raghuveera Reddy, Pallam Raju, and other senior leaders attended the meeting,” he said.
He said that after 10 years, the Congress has come to power in Telangana and before that, the party formed the government in Karnataka. At this stage, the AICC leadership has proposed a crucial meeting to instill confidence in the party leaders and cadres, he added.
Further, he said that a crucial meeting of APCC would be held in New Delhi on December 21. The meeting will chalk out a plan of action and special election manifesto for the State. Later, the party would speed up the activities in the State, he added.
Meanwhile, he made serious allegations against the YSRCP and the Opposition TDP. Both these parties failed to gain Special Category Status for the State, bifurcation assurances, and special package for the backward districts of Uttarandhra and Rayalaseema. People of the State are pinning hopes on the Congress to get funds for the State, he claimed.
