Chief Secretary Dr KS Jawahar Reddy has directed the officials to complete the infrastructure works in the educational institutions mentioned in Schedule-13 as part of the bifurcation of the State. He reviewed the matter with the officials of the concerned departments on Wednesday. On the occasion, the CS reviewed the progress of various infrastructure projects such as roads, electricity, water supply, construction of compound walls, along with the construction works being carried out in various Central educational institutions sanctioned by the Central government in Schedule-13.
The officials were directed to review the progress of the infrastructure construction works of each Central educational institution and complete the works as per the specified deadline. He ordered discussions with the district collectors and officials of the concerned departments about the works to be completed. Dr Jawahar Reddy made it clear to the officials that henceforth, the progress of Schedule-13 educational institutions will be reviewed on the last Monday of every month.
CS Dr Jawahar Reddy reviewed the works of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) being set up in Tirupati and the progress of the infrastructure works with the respective officials. Also, the works of the National Institute of Technology (NIT) in Tadepalligudem, Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Visakhapatnam, Indian Institute of Science Education and Research in Tirupati (IISER), Central University (CUAP) at Anantapur, Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing (IIITDM) at Kurnool, Central Tribal University (CTUAP) being set up in Vizianagaram, Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy (IIPE) in Visakhapatnam, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Mangalagiri, and the National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM) being set up near Gannavaram in NTR district were reviewed.
SS Rawat, Special Chief Secretary, Finance Department, GAD (SR) Principal Secretary L Prem Chandra Reddy, State Higher Education Principal Secretary J Shyama Rao, TR&DB Secretary Pradyumna, Industries Department Secretary Yuvraj, Disaster Management Agency Director Dr BR Ambedkar and other officials attended the meeting. Collectors and other officials of the respective districts participated in the meeting virtually.
