Cyberabad Commissioner of Police Stephen Raveendra announced that the fingerprint and clues teams have been set up in the newly formed law and order zones of Rajendranagar and Medchal. The official held a review meeting with the fingerprint unit and clues team staff on Wednesday.
During the meeting, the CP emphasised the importance of securing and collecting vital evidence to aid in scientific investigation. The fingerprint and clues teams have been strengthened to improve the quality of collection of scientific evidence from the crime scene. The CP also urged the staff to adopt new technical methods in the collection of evidence at the place of crime, which will help speed up the investigation of complex cases.
To monitor the quality of work and ensure accountability in their performance, Assistant Director of FSL & Hyderabad Clues Team HOD Venkanna made the staff aware of work monitoring. He said that the investigation of complex cases will be speeded up by adopting new technical methods in the collection of evidence at the place of crime.
The CP rewarded the top performers who have handled cases exceptionally well. He also announced that a centralised clues team head office will soon be set up under the guidance of a retired forensic expert.
The review meeting was attended by Cyberabad DCP (Crimes) Kalmeshwar Singenwar, Assistant Director of FSL & Hyderabad Clues Team HOD Venkanna, ACPs of all divisions and fingerprint unit and clues team staff.
The Cyberabad CP said that they are committed to improving the quality of collection of scientific evidence from crime scenes, and the establishment of the fingerprint and clues teams is a step in the right direction.
