Tollywood producer KP Chowdhury was arrested by the Cyberabad police on Tuesday and a huge quantity of cocaine was seized from him.
He was first picked up by the Special Operations Team while he was leaving his residence at Kismatpur near Rajendranagar and 90 sachets of cocaine weighing 82.75 grams was seized from him.
Police found that he had procured 100 sachets of cocaine from Goa a few days ago. It suspected that he could have consumed some and had even sold some sachets.
He was leaving to supply the drug to his clients when he was caught red handed. Investigation into an earlier case detected by Cyberabad police and seizure of 300 grams of cocaine a month ago, led to the arrest of Chowdhury, police confirmed.
According to preliminary reports, KP Choudhary had was in Goa for some time . The police seized a substantial amount of Cocaine from him.
This is not the first time that Tollywood has been linked to drugs. It may be recalled that drugs case created a sensation in the Telugu states with the likes of Puri Jagannath, Charmmee Kaur, Navdeep, Ravi Teja, Subbaraju, Tanish among others summoned for questioning. However, they all got a clean chit.
Now, the arrest of producer KP Choudhary has opened up pandora’s box again. Even Rakul Preet’s manager too was called for questioning in drugs case then.
