After a series of flops, actor Varun Tej is currently shooting for his upcoming film Korean Kanakaraju. Directed by Merlapaka Gandhi, the film stars Ritika Nayak as the female lead. It is an Indo-Korean horror comedy and the shoot started some time ago. Now, the makers have roped in Daksha Nagarkar for a special song in the film. Shooting is underway at a private studio in Hyderabad, with a special set erected for the song.
Daksha Nagarkar, who has done a few Telugu films, was last seen in Swag opposite Sree Vishnu. The special song with Varun Tej is described as a “complete mass number,” according to sources.
Music for the film is composed by S. Thaman. Varun Tej is hoping for a much-needed break with this project, as his recent films Matka, Operation Valentine and Gandeevadhari Arjuna underperformed at the box office.
Director Merlapaka Gandhi is known for delivering sensible hits and expectations are high for Korean Kanakaraju.
