CPI national secretary Dr K Narayana has alleged that the Delhi police have been creating problems for the Opposition parties by imposing ‘Nakabandi’, as the G-20 Conference will be conducted next month. The Delhi police are shutting down various political party offices and imposing restrictions, he criticised.
Addressing the media at the Dasari Bhavan in Vijayawada, Narayana alleged that the ruling BJP was trying to make use of the ‘lotus’ logo designed for the G-20 Conference, ahead of the general elections. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is acting enthusiastically as he was made G-20 Chairman, he added.
Meanwhile, he condemned PM Modi for not reacting to the riots and violence in Manipur. The BJP-led State and Central governments are hatching a conspiracy on the lines of Gujarat, he alleged.
“There were no clashes between casts. The BJP is encouraging violence in Manipur. There was a Protection Act in Manipur earlier. However, the BJP is trying to spoil it. The party was responsible for the recent attacks and outbreaks of violence in Manipur,” he added.
He made a serious allegation against Modi that he had a secret agreement with the terrorist groups in Manipur. He demanded that the Central government seize arms from the terrorist groups. There should be necessary steps to protect the rights of the tribal people in Manipur State. In view of all these, to discuss a plan of action, the Opposition alliance would meet in October, he explained.
Narayana said that BJP betrayed the both Telugu States. BJP and YSRCP are different only by name. These two parties are the same, he said. Unfortunately, in Andhra Pradesh, TDP and Jana Sena Party are also with BJP, he added. CPI leaders Ravula Venkaiah, Akkineni Vanaja, Ch Koteswara Rao, and Donepudi Sankar were present.
