Development project Clean up Musi river first: CM

Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy held a review on Musi Riverfront Development Project with the officials at Nanakramguda HMDA office on Monday.
The officials explained to the Chief Minister about the location sketch of Musi River boundaries and other important details. The CM directed the officials to complete the exercise to start the Musi RiverFront Development Project at the earliest.
The officials have been asked to clean up the entire Musi river before starting the works. CM Revanth ordered the officials to prepare the Musi development plans ensuring to connect all the historical structures along the river in the city.
The Chief Minister also suggested to divide the work between the officials to take up the Musi development works at a fast pace. It may be mentioned here that Telangana government allocated Rs 1,000 crore exclusively for the Musi project in the Vote-on-Account Budget for 2024-25 presented by Finance Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Saturday.
As part of the project, pedestrian zones, people’s plazas, heritage zones, bicycle tracks, green spaces, hawker zones, bridges, recreational and tourist areas, sports facilities, parking areas, commercial and retail spaces and hospitality infrastructure in the Old City will be developed.
