DIG Paulraju suspended Ongole CI R Rambabu and SI D Srinivas Rao for being negligent in the case of assaulting and urinating on a tribal youth in Ongole. In an inhuman and barbaric incident, a tribal youth was assaulted and urinated on by nine boys including three minors, that came to light on June 19 in Ongole.
Police said that three of the accused urinated on the victim while one of them video-recorded and circulated it among his friends.
The first case was filed on June 19 when the victim was admitted to a hospital with injuries.
He told the police then that he had fought with his friends. At the time, he did not mention about urination. After the video went viral, the victim gave a statement that his friends and a few others, who belong to upper caste and other communities, assaulted him and threatened him by urinating on him.
