Diggy digs in to mend T-Cong crisis

The Congress high command has asked party General Secretary and troubleshooter Digvijay Singh to tackle the crisis in the Telangana unit of the Congress.AICC President Mallikarjuna Kharge appointed Digvijay as an observer of the Telangana Congress to sort out the ‘Original’ and ‘Migrant’ Congress leaders’ issue.Digvijay informed seniors immediately after taking responsibility that he will solve the problem by holding talks with them.

Immediately, Digvijay called AICC Programmes Implementation Committee Chairman A. Maheshwar Reddy and asked him to cancel the meeting of ‘Original’ leaders being held on Tuesday at Maheshwar Reddy’s residence.

After discussing with senior leaders Maheshwar Reddy announced that there is no meeting at his residence. Speaking to the media Maheshwar said that they welcome the response of Digvijay. He said that they have no demands but their objective is only to ‘Save the Congress.’

On the other hand, Kharge called the CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and asked him not to make the issue complicated as the high command is ready to solve their problems. Kharge also told Bhatti to discuss with Digvijay their problems and that there should not be any problems at the time of the elections.
