BRS dissidents and those who are still hoping for Assembly tickets are waiting for the arrival of BRS Working President KT Rama Rao who is their last hope. KTR who is abroad is expected to arrive in Hyderabad on September 6.
During the KTR’s foreign trip, a lot of political developments took place in the BRS. BRS President Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao announced the first list of Assembly candidates when KTR was abroad. With the announcement of the first list with 115 names out of a total of 119 many hopefuls became disappointed.
The candidates who got tickets are also not happy due to the growing dissidence in the party against them at the local level. Due to discontent many BRS leaders including sitting MLAs who were denied tickets left the BRS and some more leaders are likely to follow them.
There are speculations that the BRS leadership may change some names in the first list which was announced recently. In this situation, some of the dissidents and ticket hopefuls are waiting for the arrival of KTR. They hope that KTR may do justice to them.
Some dissidents think that it is better to have a word with KTR before leaving the party. If KTR gives any assurance about their political future or influences KCR to change candidates and gives them tickets then there is no need to leave the party.
BRS candidates also hope that KTR may discuss with dissidents at the local level and solve their problems to ensure their victory in the Assembly elections.
So dissidents as well as BRS candidates who are facing dissidence from local leaders and those who still have hopes of getting an Assembly ticket are waiting eagerly for KTR’s arrival.
All these BRS leaders have their own problems. The BRS leadership also hopes that KTR will convince the dissidents to work for the party in the Assembly elections. BRS candidates who are facing dissidence from local leaders hope that KTR will solve their problems.
