In a proactive move to monitor and assess the progress of the Bhogapuram International Airport construction, District Collector Nagalakshmi and Joint Collector Mayur Ashok undertook a thorough inspection on Thursday evening.
The high-level visit encompassed various key areas, including the airport premises, runway, workshop, concrete plant, administration building, and Trumpet Road construction sites, covering a total of nine zones. The officials meticulously examined ongoing land leveling activities, compound wall construction, and scrutinized detailed maps outlining the project.
During the inspection, officials from GMAR, namely Ramaraju and Koteswara Rao, along with representatives from L&T, provided a comprehensive briefing to the Collector, shedding light on the current status of construction works. District Collector Nagalakshmi took a keen interest in essential aspects such as electricity supply, water supply, and the progress of road construction. Emphasizing the round-the-clock efforts invested in the project, the Collector assured that the construction of the boundary wall is slated for completion by the end of January.
RDO MV Suryakala, Tahsildar CH Bangarraju, and Additional Revenue staff actively participated in the inspection, signifying a collaborative effort to ensure the timely and successful completion of the Bhogapuram airport project.
