The ophthalmologists, who examined a six-year-old girl on Saturday, were perplexed as her parents complained that foreign particles like rice, cotton seeds and bits of paper are discharged through one of her eyes. But, no foreign particle came out when the doctors examined her.
The girl, B Sowjanya, was brought to Mamata Hospital by her parents on Saturday. They said they had consulted several doctors in the Mahabubabad district but to no avail. The girl came from Kistaram village under Garla mandal in Mahabubabad district.
The doctors said that they had examined the right eye and found no abnormality. The parents told the doctors that the girl was discharging foreign particles from her right eye. Her parents, however, said the girl has been experiencing pain in the right eye for the last three months. The doctors suggested to the parents that the girl be admitted to the hospital to evaluate her condition. But, they refused to admit the girl. The doctors said that there was no such case so far.Â
Though no foreign particle was discharged through her right eye when the doctors examined her, a blue particle was found in her eye when the parents were chatting with media persons outside the hospital.
The doctors at the hospital ruled out the possibility of the girl discharging foreign particles. The ophthalmologists, however, advised the girl’s parents to admit her to the hospital to examine her further and evaluate her condition. Â
