Don’t compare Palestine’s fight with terrorist acts: CPM

Must read

CPM politburo members MA Baby and BV Raghavulu have said that the people of Palestine are fighting for their country independently. It should not be compared with terrorist acts. Israel is continuing attacks on Palestine, and America and other countries are supporting it, they added.
The CPM leaders addressed the media along with party State secretary V Srinivasa Rao at the Balotsav Bhavan in Vijayawada on Thursday.  They said that since the beginning, India has extended solidarity to Palestine. Prime Minister Narendra Modi says that the attacks are not right, but he did not ask them to stop attacking. Israel is attacking Gaza like the Nazi genocide in Germany, he added.
They said that as many as 248 people in Palestine had been shot by Israeli soldiers during the period from January to October. Of them, 40 were children. However, no one questioned this. Even hospitals are under attack. The Left party leaders said that the people of all countries should condemn Israel’s actions.
Before the passing of the resolution regarding Israel by the United Nations Organisation (UNO), a majority of the territory had been kept under Palestine’s control. Israel follows Fascist policies, like the RSS. So, Prime Minister Modi is not raising his voice against that country, they added.
The CPM leaders said that with the INDIA Bloc, the strength of anti-BJP forces increased. Before INDIA Bloc, the Opposition parties were working differently and there were many disputes among them. Now, all Opposition parties have come under one umbrella, they said.
They extended support to the CPI and its candidates in the Telangana Assembly elections. But they have no idea whether the CPI will give support to their candidates, they said. They expressed happiness over the successful completion of the Praja Rakshana Bheri.
