In accordance with the Telangana Government Business Rules and Secretariat instructions, all Bills received from the Secretary of the Legislature, including the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (Absorption of Employees into Government Service) Bill–2023, have been sent to the Law Secretary for opinion. This is a normal practice as per the rules.

The Governor has provided 10 recommendations based on representations and in the best interests of the employees and the corporation while permitting the introduction of the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (Absorption of Employees into Government Service) Bill in the Assembly.

Similarly, four other Bills were earlier returned to the Assembly and the Legislative Council with messages containing certain recommendations.

The Governor would like to ascertain whether these recommendations were properly taken care of in the Bills or not.

All members of the public and TSRTC employees are requested not to get swayed by such false news spread by vested interests, the Raj Bhavan said.

The Raj Bhavan would like to clarify that action will be taken on all Bills including the TSRTC Bill as per the Law Secretary’s recommendations.

This press communique is issued to clear the misinformation that has been circulating in certain quarters, including the print and electronic media, saying that the Governor withheld the TSRTC Bill and decided to send it for the assent of the President etc., which is in fact false.
