Duvvuri’s book for young professionals launched

Inspiring young professionals and navigating career paths, A book named, “Just A Mercenary? Notes from My Life and Career” has been launched by  Kautilya School of Public Policy for Dr Duvvuri Subba Rao on Wednesday.
Dr Subba Rao, the former RBI Governor and visiting Professor at Kautilya, authored the book, upon his experience from his personal and professional journey. During his tenure, Dr Subba Rao served as Governor of the Reserve Bank of India for five years from 2008 -2013. He also held positions such as Finance Secretary to the Government of India from 2007-08 and Secretary to the Prime Minister’s Economic Advisory Council from 2005-07.
The book offers an engaging life of Dr Subba Rao’s extraordinary career, aimed to inform and inspire young professionals navigating their own career paths. The discussion went into lessons from his journey, anecdotes from his early district-level appointments, the evolution of India’s bureaucratic framework and the topic of gender parity in civil services. Shivangi Sharma, Program Manager at Kautilya, proposed the vote of thanks. Senior Independent Multimedia journalist and visiting faculty at the Kautilya School of Public Policy in Hyderabad, Smita Sharma, led the conversation with the author, along with the faculty members and students encouraging various exchange of ideas.
