ECI seizes 20,000 litres of illegal liquor since March 16

District Election Officer (DEO) Ronald Rose said that since the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) came into force on March 16, the ECI seized 20,955 litres of illegal liquor. On Sunday, 6 am to Monday 6 am, the excise department has seized 34 liters of illegal liquor, two cases were registered and four persons have been arrested.
Since the MCC came into force, the enforcement departments seized Rs 14.66 crore and Rs 6.91 crore worth of material.
In 24 hours of time, Rs 3.11 lakh and Rs 23,473 worth of materials have been seized by the police, 2,922 licenced arms have been deposited in the police stations and three FIRs filed in Hyderabad.
