Cyberabad Commissioner of Police M Stephen Raveendra on Saturday inaugurated the new office of the Economic offences wing.
Raveendra said, “Economic Offences Wing (EOW) was started in Cyberabad Police Commissionerate in July 2018 to investigate serious economic crimes, chain crimes, unidentified chit fund frauds and organised financial crimes. This EOW centre will be under the supervision of an officer equivalent to the DCP.”
“The investigation of organised financial crimes should be completed quickly and the criminals should be punished and justice should be given to the victims,” he added. The Commissioner also released posters and voiceovers which will be used at traffic signals in Cyberabad.
