Maruthi’s first feature film as a filmmaker, Ee Rojullu, is the most recent addition to the re-release trend. The movie’s producers have declared that a second showing of the movie is scheduled for March 23. “Get ready for a true nostalgic experience as we bring it back to the big screens,” the statement says. Ee Rojullo will have a grand re-release in theaters on March 23. Notably, the movie was released in 2012, and this year marks its 12-year anniversary; hence, the re-release serves as a celebration.
The romantic drama stars Saikumar Pampana, Reshma, and Srinivas as the main actors. Despite having a meager budget of 54 lakhs, the film managed to earn over 12 crore at the box office, making it one of the largest releases of 2012! In supporting roles in the movie were Bhargavi, Ambati Srinivas, MS Narayana, Madhumani, Kedar Shankara, Ragini, and Anandhi. Jeevan Babu composed the music for the movie, while J Prabhakar Reddy handled the cinematography and SB Uddhav handled the editing. Late 2024 will see the release of Maruthi’s next movie, The Raja Saab, which stars Prabhas and Malavika Mohanan (making her Telugu cinema debut).
