After the huge success of GIS 2023 held on March 3 and 4, Minister for IT and Commerce, Gudivada Amarnath, has said that the Government of AP will make all efforts to realise the proposed investments.

Addressing a media conference here on Monday, Amarnath said, “We displayed the potential investment possibility through Advantage AP in front of the world.

Under the leadership of CM Jagan, we have successfully instilled confidence among the investors by assuring them abundant land, water, electricity, infrastructure, and necessary industrial-friendly clearances.”

Elaborating on the detailed picture of investments, the Minister said that CM Jagan has set up a special committee under the supervision of the Chief Secretary and Industries Secretary along with IAS officers to track the realisation of investments and has a defined POC for all the proposals. He opinionated that this would show the dedication and proactiveness of the government and create a mechanism for two-way communication between the government and industrialists.

Showing confidence in the proposals of 352 MoUs and 13.8 L Cr investments, the Minister said that the YSRCP government will successfully ground the investments saying, “We have a track record of bringing 87% of investments we have roped in; we will make it happen now too.” He said that developments on the MoUs will be discussed every week with CM and ensure at least two investments ground every month.

Detailing the advantages of AP, Amarnath said, “We have successfully showcased AP as a potential investment destination by putting its natural advantage of 975 km of coastline and how the climate of AP is suitable for renewable energy. With a workforce of 70% young people, AP is rich in skill, where youth are looking for job opportunities. He reiterated which investor would not be ready to invest in AP when the government takes care of fast clearance within 21 days through single window clearance. He mentioned that AP maintains an average of 12-day clearance across the sectors.”

Slamming the opposition, he said that they failed miserably in showcasing AP enough on any of their platforms. ”Their criticism is coming out of jealousy because our government has succeeded in bringing top industrialists into the country, and everyone praised AP and how the Jagan government is cooperative in making the state of being No 1 in Ease of Doing business for three consecutive years.

The Minister said that along with Vizag, Chittoor, and Anantapur, other cities with abundant natural resources would be promoted for investments. He reiterated that AP will be a desirable destination under the leadership of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
