Telangana BJP Election Management Committee Chairman Eatala Rajender said that the debts of electricity companies have increased from Rs 10,000 crore to Rs 50,000 crore. He said that the BRS government pushed power companies into the quicksand of debt and that power companies fell into debt due to money owed to them by the government.

He said the State government must provide job security and the facilities government employees have to electricity workers.

Participating in the first State Mahasabha of the Telangana Power Employees Union at Hanmakonda on Sunday, Eatala said that the government has been hiring labour through outsourcing agencies as it has no guts to fill vacant posts.

He said that Genco CMD Prabhakar Rao is giving Rs 16,000 to SPDCL artisans and Rs 8,000 to NPDCL artisans. He asked the CMD to give the salaries given to SPDCL employees to NPDCL employees too.
