Engineers’ Day celebrated atVR Siddhartha Engineering College

VR Siddhartha Engineering College, a deemed to be university, commemorated the 163rd birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya with a grand celebration marking Engineers’ Day. The event, held at the college at Kanuru in Krishna district on Monday, was attended by distinguished guests, faculty, and students.
Minister for MSME, SERP, NRI Empowerment and Relations, Kondapalli Srinivas, delivered the keynote address highlighting Sir Visvesvaraya’s monumental contributions to society through his engineering and technological expertise. Srinivas emphasised the crucial role of engineers in driving national progress across various sectors. He urged students to engage deeply with technology, harness its potential, and address societal challenges.
The Minister also encouraged students, especially women, to embrace entrepreneurship as a pathway to bridging dreams with reality and fostering a culture of innovation. He assured that the government will support young entrepreneurs.
Siddhartha Academy Vice-President Malineni Rajayya, VR Siddhartha Engineering College Vice-Chancellor Prof P Venkateswara Rao, Principal Prof AV Ratna Prasad, Registrar Dr M Ravichand and others graced the occasion.
