‘Ensure eligible people get benefits of Central schemes’

Central Higher Education Deputy Secretary Priyank Chaturvedi has directed the officials to ensure that all eligible would receive the welfare schemes being implemented by the Central government.
A meeting was held here on Monday as part of the ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ programme and Priyank Chaturvedi attended as chief guest. Panchayat officer gave a PowerPoint presentation on various issues.
Speaking on the occasion, Central Higher Education Deputy Secretary Priyank Chaturvedi said that every officer should work to ensure that the last beneficiary of the remote areas of the district receives the Central government welfare scheme benefits.
He directed the officials to submit details of beneficiaries of central government schemes and the feedback, and grievances received from them. “The participation of women and students in the mobile van yatra programme is very important. Extensive campaigns should be conducted in towns and villages on central government schemes. The officials should sensitize people on Central government welfare schemes”, he told the officials
Priyank Chaturvedi said that the main objective is to provide basic amenities like sanitation facilities, essential financial services, access to LPG connections, and housing for the poor, food security, proper nutrition, health, clean drinking water, and quality education to the eligible poor.
District Collector Prashanthi said that orders have already been issued to the concerned authorities to conduct extensive campaigns in towns and villages on the Vikshit Bharat Sankalp Yatra central government schemes.
She said that the yatra would be held in the panchayats of the district from November 26th to January 26th. There are 20 mandals under the 3 divisions of the district. 5 municipalities, one city panchayat, and 409 village panchayats have taken steps to undertake the yatra, she stated. The Collector also explained the implementation of central-sponsored welfare schemes in the district.
RDOs K Srinivasulu Raju, K Chennaiah, M Achyut Ambarish, ZP office GVK Mallikharjun Rao, DMHO Dr.D Maheshwar Rao, and district lead bank manager Prasad were among those who were present.
