EVMs  moved to strong room in Ranga Reddy district

After the completion of the polling process in the seven Assembly constituencies of the Chevella Lok Sabha constituency, the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) were securely moved to the strong rooms.
Under tight security measures, the EVMs were taken to the Bandari Srinivas Institute of Technology College in Gollapalli village of Chevella Mandal, where the centre for vote counting is located. The EVMs were carefully checked and installed constituency-wise in the strong rooms according to Election Commission guidelines.
On Tuesday morning, the sealing of the strong rooms took place in the presence of candidates and their agents, alongside General Election Observer Rajender Kumar Kataria. Supervising the security arrangements were Chevella Parliamentary Constituency Returning Officer, Collector Shashanka, Vikarabad Collector Narayana Reddy, District Additional Collector Pratima Singh, Vikarabad Additional Collector Rahul Sharma, and Serilingampally Zonal Commissioner Sehna. Armed forces were stationed at the strong rooms to ensure their protection.
Closed-circuit television cameras have been installed for real-time monitoring, allowing immediate inspection of the strong rooms and their surroundings. Additionally, Section 144 prohibitory orders have been enforced at the counting center to prevent unauthorized access.
District Collector K Shashanka inspected each counting hall and strong room, ensuring that all necessary facilities for the vote counting process, scheduled for June 4, are in place. CC cameras will continuously monitor the strong rooms. To maintain order and security, different routes have been designated for the movement of officials, staff, candidates, and agents within the counting center. Basic amenities such as drinking water, electricity supply, and counting tables have been arranged.
Accompanying the Collector were Vikarabad Assistant Collector Uma Harathi, Assistant Returning Officers, and other concerned officials.
