Former CBI Joint Director VV Lakshminarayana, popularly known as JD Lakshminarayana, has expressed his intention to contest from the Visakhapatnam Lok Sabha seat again in the upcoming 2024 general elections. Addressing a program organized for awareness on the right to vote at Sri Pottisriramulu Chalavadi Mallikharjuna Rao College in Vijayawada, Lakshminarayana emphasized his commitment to serving the people of Visakhapatnam and working towards their betterment.
“My first priority is to contest from Visakhapatnam again in the next elections,” stated Lakshminarayana. “I aim to increase the percentage of votes I received in the 2019 elections and make a strong impact on the political landscape of the region.”
Lakshminarayana’s political aspirations stem from his desire to address the long-standing issues faced by the people of Visakhapatnam. He has been a vocal advocate for the establishment of a full-fledged railway zone in the city, the implementation of the assurances given in the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act-2014, and the development of the King George Hospital (KGH).
“I believe that my experience and expertise will enable me to effectively represent the interests of Visakhapatnam in Parliament,” asserted Lakshminarayana. “I am committed to working tirelessly to bring about positive change and ensure that the city receives its due share of development.”
Lakshminarayana’s participation in the voter awareness program underscores his belief in the power of the ballot. He urged the students present to exercise their right to vote responsibly and choose leaders who can truly represent their aspirations. “Your vote is your voice,” he declared. “Use it wisely to make a difference in the future of Visakhapatnam and Andhra Pradesh.”
