Telugu Desam Party (TDP) senior leader and former MLA GV Anjaneyulu has called upon people to defeat the YSRCP in the ensuing election by voting for the TDP.
Addressing a press conference here on Sunday, the TDP leader alleged that the people of the State are being fleeced with heavy unjust taxes by the government. To get rid of the anti-people YSRCP, people should elect the TDP this time, he appealed to the people.
He said that the people of the state were fed up with the YSRCP regime and they were waiting for an opportunity to teach a lesson. The people of the state were disenchanted with the YSRCP regime, he claimed, stating that all sections of people were against the YSRCP government now.
Describing the ensuing elections as Kurukshetra Sangramam, GV Anjaneyulu reposed confidence that the TDP-JSP alliance would come to power.  “AP is lagging in development due to inept governance and anti-people policies of the YSRCP. The government is fleecing the people by imposing heavy taxes. The state has been put in heavy debts,” he slammed.
The TDP senior leaders regretted that the electricity tariff had been hiked five times. The RTC bus fares also hiked while the prices of essential commodities were spiralling, he lashed out, adding that sand has been made as a precious commodity which badly affected the construction sector.
GV Anjaneyulu recalled that Chandrababu Naidu announced free bus travel to all women if the TDP is voted to power. People are expressing fears at the land survey and the land title deed act, he observed. GV Anjaneyulu claimed that six YSRCP MLAs and four MPs have quit the party.
