Shining in a crowd of Marathi historic films by avoiding being typical for the genre — actor Subodh Bhave’s trending flick titled Har Har Mahadev saw the artists delivering a terrific performance. In an exclusive web interview with us, the salesman who turned to showbiz tells the tale of acting in a film based on an unsung warrior.
“A specific scene gave me goosebumps, & so did the audiences felt it. The moment, significance of “swarajya” is explained/ when Shivaji Maharaj clarifies his love for his wife — that blew my mind. The way tenderness was expressed by the writer was so empathetic. During the narration, this scene gradually made me weep.”
Subodh Bhave is not just an actor but a writer, producer and director himself known for his work in Marathi cinema. He has acted in many commercially successful and critically acclaimed Marathi movies! So when he was casted opposite Sharad Kelkar, he swore for more exciting things to happen in his life. He continued to share with us a few more set memories, “In spite of the fact that I visualised my appearance in an another way, would still not want to change the way film was shot. I have started to work on myself harder after this stint because I want to glorify my tenure in marathi cinema totally.”
With ample awards in his kitty, the actor had his emotional moments on sets of Har Har Mahadev. He’s looking ahead with a brighter lens & many more accolades to come: all for conquering the marathi empire with his popularity.
