‘Failure to seek CVC probe into Amrut scam is also corruption’

Must read

Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar said that if the Congress government does not write a letter to the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) seeking an inquiry into the alleged scam in the tender invitation process of the Amrut scheme in Telangana it would be another act of corruption.
In a statement issued on Monday, he said that the Congress and the BRS are enacting dramas regarding the Amrut scheme to divert public attention. If corruption has to be exposed the CVC should do the investigation, he stressed.
The Modi government introduced the Amrut Scheme to improve infrastructure in cities. Both parties are now staging dramas by accusing each other of corruption in the scheme. If the BRS accuses the Congress government of committing massive corruption in this scheme and awarding contracts to the people they want then it is absurd for the Congress to say that that the BRS government was also corrupt.
Both of them are trying to enact dramas by making challenges and counter-challenges to divert public attention from the failure of the Congress to implement its 6-guarantees.
It is a fact that both of them have committed massive acts of corruption in this scheme and gave contracts to the people they wanted in return for kickbacks. The Central Vigilance Commission should conduct an inquiry into the implementation of this Central scheme in Telangana to uncover corruption and bring out the truth in the allegations of the BRS and the Congress. For this, the TG government should write a letter to the CVC seeking an inquiry into the corruption in the Amrut scheme, he said.
“If the state government sends a letter, I will personally take the initiative as the Union Minister of State for Home Affairs to persuade the CVC to investigate the matter. If the Congress government thinks that the Amrut Scheme is being implemented properly in Telangana and that there is no corruption in awarding contracts, it should immediately write to the CVC. Otherwise, the Congress government will have to be considered corrupt,” Sanjay said.
He said that it is clear that the BRS and the Congress are enacting dramas regarding the Amrut Scheme to divert public attention from Congress admin’s failure to implement the 6-guarantees and the demolitions conducted by HYDRAA.
