BRS President Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao said that a farmers’ storm is going to hit the nation soon and no one can stop it.

He said the BRS will contest local elections in Maharashtra and that as an Indian he will move across the nation. He made it clear that he will not come to Maharashtra if the Maharashtra government implements Telangana schemes.

Addressing a public meeting at Kandhar Loha in Nanded district in Maharashtra with the slogan ‘Abki Baar Kisan Sarkar’ on Sunday, KCR said that he would not have come to Maharashtra if former Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had developed Maharashtra like Telangana.

KCR said that his government has introduced Rythu Bandhu, 24-hour free power, and Rythu Bima and also procured the entire food grain produced by TS farmers.

He said that Dalits are facing a lot of problems in Maharashtra. In Telangana, the BRS government has been implementing the Dalit Bandhu scheme for Dalits.

“I am demanding that the Maharashtra government should implement the Dalith Bandhu scheme in Maharashtra. Solve the problems of Maharashtra farmers. I will not come to Maharashtra again. I saw dried-out lands when I came here.”

KCR said that 75 years have gone after the nation attained freedom but there is no change in the lives of the poor. “Did our lives change when the Congress and the BJP ruled? What did the Congress and the BJP do for the people while ruling the nation for 54 years and 14 years respectively? He asked.

“India has abundant human resources. We have better soil than the US and China. 40,000 TMCs of water go into the sea every year. Why are farmers not getting the benefits of both the Krishna and Godavari Rivers which originate in Maharashtra? Every acre will get water if leaders decide. The country has 361 billion tons of coal and we will give 24-hour free power to the entire nation for 125 years easily,” he said.

KCR said that farmers are being deceived by Uttar Pradesh and Punjab leaders. “I coined the ‘Abki Baar Kisan Sarkar’ slogan to ensure that farmers do not get deceived again by leaders. The suicides by farmers cannot be stopped if the nation gets divided in the name of religions,” he said.

He said the Maharashtra government had deposited Rs 6000 in farmers’ accounts immediately after the BRS’ meeting in Nanded a few months ago and people got to know about the strength of the BRS.

“Fadnavis asked me what work I had in Maharashtra. I am telling Fadnavis that the Maha government has to implement the five schemes of Telangana. Then I will not come here or else I will definitely come. The Centre has to give a minimum of Rs 10,000 to farmers under PM Kisan.”

Asking the people attending the meeting to tell whether anyone received Fasal Bima Yojana money, KCR assured them that he will solve all the problems of farmers.

KCR said that they had registered BRS in Maharashtra too and made it clear that the BRS will contest in local elections.

He said, “The pink flag has to fly on every Zilla Parishad. I request you to ensure the victory of the BRS in local elections and I will show what I am by solving your problems.”

KCR said that he has been getting requests from several regions of Maharashtra to conduct this kind of meetings. He said that the next meeting will be at Solapur.

Earlier, KCR paid floral tributes to the statues of Chhatrapati Shivaji, Basaveshwarudu and Dr BR Ambedkar, Anna Bahu Sathe, Mahatma Phule and Ahilya Bhai Hoklar placed on the dais.

MPs J. Santhosh Kumar, D. Damodar Rao, MLCs Madhusudhana Chary, Deshapathi Srinivas, former Minister Thummala Nageshwara Rao, MLAs A. Jeevan Reddy, Balka Suman, Shakeel Ahmed, BRS Kisan Cell President Gurnam Singh, BRS General Secretary Himanshu Tiwari and others attended the meeting.

Former NCP Kisan Cell President Shankaranna Dhondge. former MP Haribhav Rathod, former MLAs Harshavardhan Jadav, Dr Vasantha Rao Bonde and others joined the BRS.
