The Blenders Pride Glassware Fashion Tour is all set to mark its 16th edition, which will begin on November 19 and continue until December 17, powered by the Fashion Design Council of India. The Pioneer connects with the chairman of FDCI, Sunil Sethi, who shares with us some exclusive insights about the upcoming tour.

A true legacy can only be created when one is true to their individuality. With over 15 years of making its mark in the fashion industry, Blenders Pride Glassware Fashion Tour is once again back with its new edition of Indiaās most iconic fashion extravaganza.
Guess what? This year itās a notch higher with āPride and Authenticityā as the soul and substance of the grand event. with celebrated designer Ashish Soni as the curator-in-chief and a continued partnership with the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI). The tour is all set to travel through Kolkata, Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Gurugram. In its bold new avatar, the tour will feature some of the leading designers who, through their inclusive, sustainable, and multicultural approach, are putting Indian fashion on the world stage.
The tour will begin on November 19 in Kolkata by designers Shantnu and Nikhil; on November 25 in Hyderabad by designer Amit Aggarwal; on December 3 in Mumbai by designer Falguni Shane Peacock; and on December 17 in Gurugram by designer Kunal Rawal. Without further ado, we connect with Sunil Sethi, chairman of FDCI, to learn more about the collaboration, what new we will be seeing this year, what the designers will bring to the table, and much more.

The 16th edition of the Blenders Pride Glassware Fashion Tour has many new elements to it this year starting with the āDesigner X Artistā format. āIn its cutting-edge new avatar, the Fashion Tour will present a spectacular collaboration between leading fashion designers and renowned personalities from diverse fields who are reshaping the lifestyle interests of todayās youth,ā said Sunil Sethi.
The Hyderabad chapter will present āPride in Sustainable Fashion,ā in which fashion designer Amit Aggarwal and Nuru Karim, one of Indiaās top 100 most influential architects who is dedicated to having a positive impact on the environment, will exhibit a blend of contemporary sustainable techniques in fashion.
Explaining in detail about its style gallery and metaverse, he goes on to say, āAs an extension of the four themes, a āstyle galleryā called āThis is not a T-shirtā has been curated by Ashish Soni and FDCI. It will showcase T-shirt outfits designed by over 60 designers and homegrown fashion labels, who have embellished or even deconstructed the basic T-shirt into a design celebrating their authentic interpretation of the four themes of the Fashion Tour. While the gallery will be constructed with undertones of sustainability, using recycled materials during the physical tour, the virtual avatar will be launched with a unique fashion show in the Metaverse. The Fashion Tour travels through the metaverse in order to provide the youth with an immersive experience.The Fashion Tour will launch an industry-first Metaverse platform. It will create an immersive world for young audiences to experience the Fashion Tour like never before.ā
The aesthete believes that for its previous 15 editions, the tour has evolved from conventional runway shows to fashion festivals celebrating positivity, glamour, and cutting-edge technology with exuberant designs.
