Fear of defeat evident

KCR has admitted defeat without accepting the challenge of the Congress. The fear of defeat is evident in the CM’s voice, TPCC President Revanth Reddy said.

He said that the fear of defeat is evident in the fact that many sitting BRS MLAs have not been given tickets and that KCR is contesting from two constituencies. It is certain that KCR will lose in both Gajwel and Kamareddy, he added.

Revanth was speaking to the media at the Gandhi Bhavan here on Monday.
He criticised KCR for playing clever tricks in the name of farm loan waiver. By waiving loans of only up to Rs 99,999, KCR has saved Rs 11,000 crore, he said.

He said that KCR should be ashamed to ask what the Congress has done in 50 years. “KCR is asking what the Congress has done in 50 years. Did your grandparents build projects like the Nagarjuna Sagar? KCR said that there are 12,500 panchayats. Didn’t the Congress supply electricity to all those villages? A school was built in your village Chintamadaka. It was the Congress that supplied electricity to your house. The Congress built the ORR and the Metro. KCR is taking the Metro around ORR to increase land value there. The Congress builds Metro to help the people, but you are building Metro for real estate business,” said Revanth.

He said that KTR went to the US to invest the money he had received from IRB. “Whenever a big deal is done KTR goes abroad for 10 days,” he said.

“KCR insulted Srikanta Chari’s mother at the Suryapet meeting on Sunday,” he said.

BRS leaders from Banswada, Wardhannapet and Mudhol joined the Congress on Monday. Among those who joined the Congress is District Distribution Committee Chairman Venkat Reddy of Banswada, former Market Committee Director Bhagareddy, Sarpanchs Sainath of Muthol, Raju, MPTC Devdas and BRS activists from the Ainavolu Mandal of Wardhannapet.
