The Leader of the Opposition (LOP) in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, told Congress leaders from Telangana, including Ministers, MLAs, MLCs, and others, that they must fight the Modi Government strongly in Parliament on the 42 per cent quota for BCs. He asked Telangana Congress leaders to take the Centre’s attitude to the people.
On Thursday, Telangana Congress leaders met Rahul, Sonia and AICC president Mallikarjuna Kharge on Parliament premises and described the latest developments in Telangana.
TPCC Chief B. Mahesh Kumar Goud, Ministers Ponnam Prabhakar and Konda Surekha, and Government Whips Adi Srinivas and Beerla Ilaiah explained about the maha dharna conducted by BC unions at the Jantar Mantar on Wednesday to Sonia Gandhi.
She directed Telangana Congress leaders to work for the welfare of TG people and added that the people of Telangana have always been with the Congress. She added that the people of Telangana would not forget the good things done by the Congress. She emphasised that reservations for BCs would bring ‘changes’ in the lives of the poor and weaker sections.
