Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Trivikram Varma has directed the police officials to file charge sheets in such a way that the accused are punished by the courts. The DIG inspected the Arandalpet police station and East DSP office here on Thursday.

He examined the staff performance, duties, investigation of important cases, case diary, village roster, and various crime records maintained under the East Division. The DIG also inspected the premises of the East Division Office, reception counter registers, and computer room.

Speaking on the occasion, the DIG told the officials that in grave cases where the investigation was completed, the officials should file a charge sheet in such a manner that the court punished the accused.

The DIG cautioned people not to open unauthorized apps as they steal data related to their mobile and not get attracted to loan apps because they give loans easily but later start harassment.

Trivikram Varma directed the police officials to put on efforts to resolve clueless cases. He also instructed them to look into the missing cases in all the districts of Andhra Pradesh as well as Telangana and other states and collect technical evidence.

He asked people not to trust touts who promised jobs, especially railway jobs, post office department jobs, and jobs on Amazon. Ward women police are advised to inform the police station SHO of any information within the secretariats where they are working, especially to organize awareness programs for women.

He directed the police officers to lay focus on missing cases, crimes against women and small children, and cyber crimes and to focus on control of anti-social activities in the surrounding areas of the police station. Beats should be increased in all police stations under the East Division. Dynamic beats should be executed. Actions should be taken within the specified response time for any incident occurring within the station.
