An FIR was registered against BRS Working President KT Rama Rao (KTR) and five others. This time, the case revolves around traffic violations and public nuisance during KTR’s return from the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) office on Thursday.
The allegations emerged after KTR, accompanied by party leaders and workers, conducted a rally from the ACB office to the Telangana Bhavan after his questioning.
According to the complaint filed by Sub-Inspector Govardhan of the Banjara Hills Traffic Police, KTR, identified as Accused No. 1, deliberately slowed his vehicle to interact with the media,
causing traffic congestion on Road No: 12, Banjara Hills.
The complaint also names several other BRS leaders like Balka Suman, Manne Govardhan, Gellu Srinivas Yadav, Jai Simha, and Krishank, as co-accused. They allegedly gathered around KTR, launched an unauthorized rally, and blocked the free flow of traffic creating public nuisance for over an hour.
The FIR, registered under Cr. No. 23/2025, accuses KTR and others of violating sections 221, 292, 126 (2)A of the BNS, along with other offenses.
The complaint says that despite repeated warnings from the police to clear the road, the instructions were ignored, blocking public servants from performing their duties.
“Revanth’s rallies have police security and the Collector receives him. But if we walk with KT Rama Rao, cases are booked. Is this Congress’s democracy?” she said.
