The police on Thursday arrested five persons of a family in connection with the sensational murder of a 26-year-old youth, Muske Mukesh at Indaram village under Jaipur mandal in the district on Tuesday.
The arrested, according to Assistant Commissioner of Police G Narender, are Peddpalli Kanakaiah, his wife Padma, daughters Shruti and Shwetha and son Sai. TheACP said that Kanakaiah had confessed to having committed the murder. The family members nursed a grudge against Mahesh as he continued to harass Shruti for a long time. The family members hatched a conspiracy to murder Mahesh if he failed to mend his way. Mahesh by uploading intimate photos of him with Shruti on social media websites angered the family members. It led to Shruti’s husband committing suicide, Kanakaiah reportedly told the police.
The family caught him while he was passing through a street on the motorcycle and attacked him. The family members smashed Mahesh’s head with a boulder after attacking him with a sickle, the ACP said.
The family members fled after attacking Mahesh. Acting on a tip-off, the police arrested him when they were on their way to
some other place, the ACP said.
