Food Safety Commission flags violations in supermarket

The Telangana Food Safety Commission conducted inspections on Thursday at Ratnadeep Supermarket at Boduppal and a roadside hotel in Secunderabad, and found multiple violations.
According to the Task force, a complaint was received on the FoSCoS app regarding Ratnadeep Supermarket at Aakruthi Township at Boduppal.
The concerned Food Safety Officer inspected the premises and identified several violations as per the FSSAI Act such as, spoiled onions. The FSSAI license copy was not displayed at a prominent place. Medical fitness certificates were not available for food handlers. No FoSTaC trained supervisor was available on the premises.
Officials stated that a notice will be issued to the premises and further action will be taken accordingly.

Another complaint was received on the FoSCoS app concerning Sri Laxmi Narasimha Swamy Tiffin Centre at Rampally, Secunderabad.  The Food Safety Officer inspected the premises and found the following violations as per the FSSAI Act and found out that Food items were directly exposed to dust particles.
