Foolproof arrangements are being made for the oath-taking ceremony of Nara Chandrababu Naidu as the new Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh on June 12 at Kesarapalli near Gannavaram. As many as one lakh people are expected to witness the event, which will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other top VVIPs.
On Sunday, Chief Secretary Neerabh Kumar Prasad directed officials to ensure strict arrangements for the swearing-in ceremony. The Chief Secretary, along with State DGP Harish Kumar Gupta, Programme Special Officers PS Pradyumna, Babu A, and G Veera Pandyan, Agriculture Commissioner C Harikiran, State Additional DGP Shankabrata Bagchi and Krishna District SP Adnan Naeem Asmi, inspected the preparations near IT Park Medha Towers in Kesarapalli village of Gannavaram mandal.
The Chief Secretary first inspected the arrangements at the meeting place near Medha Towers and made several suggestions to the concerned officials. He emphasized the need for comprehensive arrangements, noting that the ceremony will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Ministers of various states, Union Ministers, Legislators, and other public representatives.
Prasad instructed officials to repair potholes around the main auditorium and complete paving work to facilitate VIP movement. He also emphasized the need for proper barricading and separation of blocks at the venue.
To ensure an uninterrupted power supply, Prasad ordered the installation of electric lights and advised the concerned authorities to set up LED screens at selected places outside the meeting premises to accommodate the large audience. He later inspected various parking spaces designated for MLAs, Union Ministers, political dignitaries, and the general public.
The inspection included the Gannavaram National Highway side petrol station, NTR Govt Veterinary College, two parking lots near Kesarapalli-Mustabad Road, Elite Vistas, Medha Towers, and other layouts. Prasad instructed that approach roads be constructed and signboards installed to facilitate easy access from the parking areas to the main hall.
Officials explained that the parking space for MLAs, MPs, judges, and other dignitaries will be in Elite Vistas, with a new approach road enabling them to reach the meeting place. Both sides of the road will be beautified with special cloth banners.
Prasad suggested setting up a special barricade and properly constructing the approach road to ensure that the Prime Minister and the Chief Ministers of other states can easily reach the venue. He stressed the importance of coordination among the concerned authorities to complete and supervise the assigned tasks regularly.
During the visit, Joint Collectors of Krishna and Guntur Districts Gitanjali Sharma and G Raja Kumari, Vijayawada and Rajahmundry Municipal Commissioners Swapnil Dinkar and Dinesh Kumar, DIG Gopinath Jetty, Vijayawada DCP Adhiraj S. Rana, Gudivada RDO P Padmavathi, and other district officials participated.
