Forest and Panchayat Raj departments dealing with the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) conducted a review meeting at the People’s Plaza, Begumpet on Wednesday.
An interactive workshop was also held attended by all the engineers of Panchayat Raj department dealing with the PMGSY roads.
PCCF (FCA) MC Pargaien, Prl Secretary PR & RD Sandeep Sultania, IG, Forest and IRO Trinadha Kumar, ENC PMGSY Sanjeev Rao, along with other officials were present at the workshop.
Trinadha Kumar gave a presentation of the Forest Conservation Act with special reference to new rules and clarified various doubts of participants. He requested all the participants to use the online version of Parivesh portal.
Sandeep Sultania requested the engineers to take special interest to facilitate speedy processing of proposals since these roads are to be completed immediately and also requested the forest department to help in processing of the proposals quickly.
Pargaien reviewed the latest status of all pending cases and requested the officers to submit compliances for all road proposals so that they can be forwarded to IRO, Hyderabad or New Delhi for the roads falling in protected areas.
A total number of 43 projects which are pending at various levels were reviewed.
