Former MP Magunta Parvathamma passes away

Former Lok Sabha member Magunta Parvathamma passed away in a private hospital in Chennai on Wednesday. She was 77 and is survived by one son and a daughter.
She was the wife of former MP Magunta Subba Reddy, who was killed by the then People’s War Group Naxalites in 1995. She was also  sister-in-law of incumbent MP Magunta Srinivasula Reddy .
Parvathamma had been ill for the last few months. While undergoing treatment in a private hospital in Chennai, she died today. She was elected to Lok Sabha in 1996 from Ongole constituency and she was also elected to Legislative Assembly in 2004 from Kavali constituency. The mortal remains of Parvathamm have been placed in her house located at Saraswati Nagar.
Family members told the media that the last rites of Parvathamma would be held in Nellore on Thursday. Minister for Energy Gottipati Ravi Kumar consoled her death, recalling that she had striven for the development of Prakasam district.
