Four Vande Bharat trains witness 100% patronage

The huge popularity of Vande Bharat Express trains has attained a special credit across South Central Railway with all the four Vande Bharat Express trains introduced in the year 2023 registering more than 100 per cent patronage in December 2023.
Secunderabad – Visakhapatnam Vande Bharat (VB) Express with 16 coaches introduced in January 2023 has been consistently operating with more than 100 per cent occupancy. In December 2023 the occupancy of Secunderabad – Visakhapatnam was at 134 per cent, while Visakhapatnam – Secunderabad Express was at 143 per cent.
Secunderabad – Tirupati VB express with eight coaches introduced in April 2023 has  been consistently operated with full occupancy since its introduction. Owing to enormous response, it has been enhanced to 16 coaches from May 17, 2023. The occupancy of Secunderabad – Tirupati Express in December, 2023 is 114 per cent, while Tirupati – Secunderabad Express is at 105 per cent.
Kacheguda – Yesvantpur VB Express with eight coaches introduced in September 2023 has gained popularity and the occupancy of the train is at 107 per cent in December 2023. In the return direction, Yesvantpur – Kacheguda Express occupancy is at 110 per cent.
Vijayawada – MGR Chennai VB Express with eight coaches introduced in September 2023 has gained special recognition by connecting Tirupati, the world famous pilgrim destination en route.
The occupancy of this train is registered as 126 per cent, while MGR Chennai – Vijayawada Express is registered at 119 per cent.
One more Vande Bharat Express has been introduced in SCR from Jalna to Mumbai CSMT and the regular run of this train starts from Mumbai on Monday.
Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager, South Central Railway, stated that meeting the demands of the rail passengers is the top priority of railways, and all efforts will be continued to meet their aspirations.
