FP dealer warned of action against laxity

District Collector P Udaya Kumar on Thursday warned the fair price dealer of severe action if they failed to deliver essential commodities to ration cardholders in time.

The Collector, accompanied by Additional Collector S Motilal, conducted a surprise inspection in a fair price shop at the Uyyalawada area in Nagarkurnool town.

The Collector interacted with the ration cardholders at the fair price shop. He enquired with the beneficiaries whether the fair price dealer was distributing essential commodities, including rice, in time. He inspected the weighing machine to find out whether it was working properly. Uday Kumar directed the Civil Supplies officials to ensure that the fair price dealers submit demand drafts and take delivery of the commodities in time for distribution to beneficiaries.
